Levels of Membership and Requirements

There are four levels of membership of ANZACAT. These are ‘Practitioner’, “Supervisor”, ‘Trainee’ and ‘Associate’. The criteria required for membership at each level are as follows:

Practitioner

A ‘Practitioner Member’ of ANZACAT refers to an individual who:

• Is a graduate of an accredited training program by ANZACAT or an equivalent ICATA recognised
  association; and
• Has successfully been accredited as a Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT Practitioner) by ANZACAT or
  an equivalent ICATA recognised association; and .
• Has paid the respective annual ANZACAT membership fee in full; and
• Has an awareness of, and complies with, the ANZACAT Code of Ethics; and
• Commits to continued professional development and maintaining professional standards; and
• Specifies their membership association with ANZACAT as ‘ANZACAT Member (Practitioner)’.

Note: individual assistance may be available to those wishing to apply for this level of membership.

Supervisor

A ‘Supervisor Member’ of ANZACAT refers to an individual who:

• Meets the definition of ANZACAT Member (Practitioner); and
  Is a graduate of a supervisory training program by ANZACAT or an equivalent ICATA recognised association; and
• Has successfully been endorsed as a Cognitive Analytic Therapy Supervisor by ANZACAT or an equivalent ICATA recognised association; and
• Commits to continued professional development and maintaining professional standards as a CAT Supervisor; and
• Specifies their member association with ANZACAT as ‘ANZACAT Member (Practitioner & Supervisor).

Trainee

A ‘Trainee Member’ of ANZACAT refers to an individual who:

• Is currently enrolled in an accredited training program provided in Australia or New Zealand; and
• Has paid the relevant annual ANZACAT membership fee in full; and
• Has an awareness of, and complies with, the ANZACAT Code of Ethics.

Associate

In order to be approved for membership as an Associate of ANZACAT, the applicant must demonstrate that he or she has completed at least a short introductory workshop on CAT and is interested in supporting ANZACAT and it’s aims, but is not currently continuing to train towards Practitioner level of membership.

Fees

Fees are subject to change, and will be voted on at the AGM or Special General Meetings of ANZACAT, as set out in the constitution. The current annual fee schedule is as follows:

Practitioner – $80 / year
Trainee – $80 / year
Associate – $40 / year
